A Death In The Gunj is a 2016 Indian Hindi drama thriller film written and directed by Konkona Sen Sharma. It features an ensemble cast of Vikrant Massey, Tillotama Shome, Om Puri, Tanuja, Gulshan Devaiah, Kalki Koechlin, Jim Sarbh, and Ranvir Shorey. Produced by Ashish Bhatnagar, Vijay Kumar Swami, Raagii Bhatnagar, Abhishek Chaubey, and Honey Trehan under the banners of Studioz IDrream and MacGuffin Pictures, it is Sharma's directorial debut feature. Principal photography began in February 2016 and was completed in March 2016 after a six-week shoot.

The film is set in the town of McCluskieganj during winter 1979. What starts as an uneventful family holiday takes a twist when the guests start playing with the spirits. It is nothing tangible but insinuates its way into the group until the holiday ends in an implosion, resulting in an unavoidable event.

A Death in the Gunj was launched by Gulzar and Vishal Bhardwaj at a press conference on 13 January 2016. The film's World premiere took place at the 21st annual 2016 Toronto International Film Festival on 10 September 2016. Its Asian premiere was held at the 21st Busan International Film Festival on 7 October 2016. It was chosen as the Opening Film for the 18th Mumbai Film Festival where it was screened on 21 October 2016 and where director Konkona Sensharma received the 'MasterCard Best India Female Filmmaker 2016 Award'. A Death in the Gunj also had its US premiere as the Opening Film of its 13th South Asian International Film Festival on the night of 30 November 2016. The film is set to release in Indian theatres on June 2, 2017.

Half Girlfriend is an upcoming Indian romantic drama film based on the novel of the same name written by Chetan Bhagat. The film is directed by Mohit Suri and features Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles.

Sarkar 3 is a 2017 Indian political crime thriller film, directed by Ram Gopal Varma, and co written by Varma and Nilesh Girkar. This is the third installment of the Sarkar franchise which stars Amitabh Bachchan again in the lead role along with Ronit Roy, Jackie Shroff, Manoj Bajpayee, Amit Sadh and Yami Gautam. Annu Karkare (Yami Gautam) conspires and attempts to avenge the death of her father, for which she blames "Sarkar" (Amitabh Bachchan). Juxtaposed with the situation is Sarkar's own personal battles with his volatile grandson Shivaji Nagre or "Cheeku" (Amit Sadh). Parallely the political and corporate diaspora pose threats to Sarkar's dominance. Assisted by his aide Gokul Satam (Ronit Roy), Sarkar deals with one of his greatest adversaries in the form of Michael Valya (Jackie Shroff) and the moody and seemingly violent politician Govind Deshpande (Manoj Bajpayee).

In 2009 Ram Gopal Verma stated that he had no plans finalised for the third instalment in the series and shelved Sarkar 3. However in 2012 it was reported that the sequel would go ahead once again and currently is in the pre production stage where the script is being written. The film is expected to go on floors at the end of 2013, primarily with the same cast of Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan although his character dies at the end of this film and also Aishwarya Rai is to be left out.

In August, 2016 director Ram Gopal Varma confirmed Sarkar 3. He told on his Twitter that Abhishek and Aishwarya will not be a part of the third installment.

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (English: The One With Strong Arms: The Conclusion) is a 2017 Indian historical fiction film co-written and directed by S. S. Rajamouli. The film was produced by Tollywood studio Arka Media Works. It is the continuation of Baahubali: The Beginning, taking place before and after the events of that film. It was originally made in both Telugu and Tamil languages and dubbed into Hindi, Malayalam, German, French, Japanese and English. The film stars major actors from Tollywood industry with Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati in lead roles. Initially, both parts were jointly produced on a budget of 250 crore (2.5 billion), however, the budget of the second part was increased later. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has made a record of highest pre-release business with 500 crore (5 billion).

Baahubali 2: The conclusion was premiered at the British Film Institute, and was theatrically released over 9000 screens worldwide on 28 April 2017. Baahubali 2 was the first Telugu film to be released in 4K High Definition format. It is estimated that close to 200 screens are being upgraded to 4K projectors before the release date of the movie.

Baahubali 2 surpassed the film PK to become the highest grossing Indian film of all time collecting approx 800 crore (US$120 million) worldwide within just six days of its release. It became the first ever Indian film to gross over 1000 crore (US$155 million) in all languages in just ten days.

Prabhas was cast as main lead of the film. Anushka Shetty was cast as the heroine of the film as she was also a part of Mirchi (2013). She coincidentally became the first heroine Rajamouli repeated in his films and thus made her schedules full for 2013 and 2014. Rana Daggubati was recruited as the antagonist of the film and coincidentally he was also a part of Rudhramadevi. Sathyaraj signed the film.

In April 2013, Adivi Sesh was cast for a crucial role in the film as Rajamouli was impressed by his work in the Panjaa (2011). Actress Ramya Krishnan was chosen to play the crucial role in the film as Rajamatha in August 2013. Actor Nassar was selected to play a supporting role. Charandeep was selected to play the brother of the film's chief villain. On 20 December 2013 a press release stated that Tamannaah will be second heroine of the film which marks her first collaboration with Rajamouli and second collaboration with Prabhas. Meka Ramakrishna was picked for the head of the Kuntala guerillas.

The film was released in conventional 2D as well as in IMAX format on 28 April 2017 in about 9,000 screens worldwide. The film was initially released in most Gulf countries including the UAE a day earlier, on 27 April 2017. The Telugu version of the film was insured against financial loss by Future Generali for 200 crore.

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion set a record collection of 500 crore (5 billion) before the release of the film through satellite and theatrical rights.

Ranbir Kapoor has been simultaneously shooting for Anurag Kashyap. The director explained, "We’ve to shoot Jagga Jasoos during the gaps in the shooting of Bombay Velvet. We completed one schedule. Now we’ll go into a lengthy schedule from August. By the end of the year the shooting would be complete." After completion, the film was originally going to release in October–November 2014, but due to conflicting commitments by the lead actors, the film has been re-scheduled to release in the month of July, 2016. Songs of the movie will be composed by Pritam. The film is said to be a Musical and will have a lot of songs. There were reports that the film will have as many as 20 songs but Pritam said he is still unsure about the final countand it is the most difficult movie he has ever worked in. The film features Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles and marks Gowariker's second collaboration with Roshan and Disney India. The film is set in the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilization that dates back to 2600 BC. The film score is composed by A. R. Rahman. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on 12 August 2016.

The principal photography commenced in the Bhuj on 27 January 2015. The first schedule of 101 days was wrapped up in the same city by 23 May 2015. During the shooting, no phones or families were allowed on the sets. In June, Hrithik started training to fight with tigers in one of the sequences of the film.
Another small schedule of the film was shot in Bhuj in October. The next schedule of filming began in Jabalpur on November 2, 2015 where a fighting sequence with the crocodile will be shot with the help of special effects.
In the next schedule of the film in December 2015 in Mumbai's Film City, a song was picturised. While shooting for the film in January 2016, Hrithik was injured on the sets.
The film score and songs are composed by A. R. Rahman while lyrics is penned by Javed Akhtar.

Story: Raees (English: Wealthy) is an upcoming 2016 Indian crime-drama film directed by Rahul Dholakia and produced by Gauri Khan,Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under their banners Red Chillies Entertainment and Excel Entertainment. It features Shah Rukh Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan in the lead roles. Raees is planned to be released on July 3, 2016.

The film is set in 1980s Gujarat. It tells the story of the bootlegger Raees Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) whose business is highly challenged and eventually thwarted by a police officer (Nawazuddin Siddiqui).

Shooting of the film began in April 2015. The film has been shot in Mumbai and sets were re-designed to depict Ahmedabad slums. The last schedule of the film with Khan and the whole starcast was shot in Gujarat in January 2016. The film was shot in Bhuj and Ahmedabad in January - February 2016. There was a clearance issue by Archaeological Survey of India for shooting at Ahmedabad at the ancient mosque and tomb complex, Sarkhej Roza. Some scenes were also shot in Mumbai. In March 2016, a legal notice has been sent by an alleged gangster Abdul Latif's son, Mustak, asking how or why a film on his father's life is being made.
