Description: Mohenjo Daro is an upcoming Indian epic adventure-romance film directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and co-produced by Ashutosh Gowariker Productions and Disney India. The film features Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles and marks Gowariker's second collaboration with Roshan and Disney India. The film is set in the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilization that dates back to 2600 BC. The film score is composed by A. R. Rahman. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on 12 August 2016.
The principal photography commenced in the Bhuj on 27 January 2015. The first schedule of 101 days was wrapped up in the same city by 23 May 2015. During the shooting, no phones or families were allowed on the sets. In June, Hrithik started training to fight with tigers in one of the sequences of the film.Another small schedule of the film was shot in Bhuj in October. The next schedule of filming began in Jabalpur on November 2, 2015 where a fighting sequence with the crocodile will be shot with the help of special effects.
In the next schedule of the film in December 2015 in Mumbai's Film City, a song was picturised. While shooting for the film in January 2016, Hrithik was injured on the sets.
The film score and songs are composed by A. R. Rahman while lyrics is penned by Javed Akhtar.
